I hadn't even looked at it in weeks, just waiting for Toy Fest.... It's very difficult to not peek in there to see whats being said about all the cool lines....

Bio... other than replacing the tongue-in-cheek phrase of "N3ca Hugger" with "N3ca Fan" there isn't a single thing I regret typing there.

Apparently that group is very sensitive and gets upset easily... I should have anticipated that and put baby gloves on.

Other than that, the post is the TRUTH... and most of them are too narrow minded to look at anything beyond the MM7 line.

There was nothing wrong with what I read that you posted on the board. Those people that had an issue with the N3CA Hugger generalization are the same ones that are very quick to point and call the pro-McFarlane people "Fan boys".

Gets old, and to be honest, I post very little on that board as for some unknown reason, there are somet hat are too entrentched to change their attitude.

If you look at numbers from my collection, Star Wars would be the number one thing that I collect, and I probably have more money wrapped up into that portion of my collection than I do in the McFarlane area. I like Mcfarlane as I have come to look at them as some refer to them as "afforddable artwork", although I like to display mine out of the package [img]wink.gif[/img] I buy what I lilke, and some of it is ****, Mattel, Hasbro, or what ever.

Most people look at the hobby as you have to be a supporter on one company and defend them to the death. They misunderstand when someone gets excited about what one company puts out over another in terms of the lines that person like and wants to collect.

It's not really what was said as far as i can tell, but it was the delivery. I can see where some would take offense to it.

I think your post was a bit antagonizing. The "**** huggers" comment, whether joking or not, did little to bridge the gap of differing philosophies. Like Bio said, (and I'm sure he stole this from me!) "Lead by example".

The problems over there are the result of disappointed people equipped with very few tools for the power of debate. All they know or care about is the MM7 lineup. They do have legitimate concerns. They don't like it and can only express themselves by saying "they suck". They get frustrated because no one can comprehend their point of view so they lash out. Understandable but not excusable. There's no point in being baited into an argument with them.

Did you really think you could turn the board around by crusading in on your white horse proclaiming all the virtues of McFarlane? Might as well convert those non-christian heathens while your at it.

The really funny part is... I read a dozen or so of those threads... and then I wrote the thread with just a tinge of the attitude that was in my head.

Now today, I read my own thread with "blackboard" mentality and realize that it was probably too coarse of a delivery.

It's amazing how much a little bit of WhiteBoard can get under your skin and slide you over on the Angry-o-meter. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
